Der dauerhafte Erfolg des Mini war nicht abzusehen, als Alec Issigonis seine ersten Skizzen zum Kleinwagen - mit Platz für vier Personen und den Rädern am äussersten Ende der Karosserie - auf eine Tischdecke zeichnete.
Am 4. Oktober 2000 lief der letzte, während des 41-jährigen Produktionszeitraums technisch nur in Details veränderte Ursprungs-Mini vom Band. Damit hatte das erfolgreiche Kleinstwagenmodell eine Gesamtstückzahl von 5'387’862 produzierten Fahrzeugen erreicht.
Dieses Exemplar gehört zur letzten gebauten Serie und wurde ein halbes Jahr vor Produktionsende ausgeliefert. Mit Voll-Lederausstattung, Aluminium Armatur und edlem Zubehör wurde die Sportversion sehr luxuriös aufgewertet. Frisch geprüft, ab Service und mit erst 13’000km geht dieses neuwertige Exemplar in die Hände eines neuen Besitzers.

The lasting success of the Mini was not foreseeable when Alec Issigonis drew his first sketches of the small car - with space for four people and the wheels at the far end of the body - on a tablecloth.
On 4 October 2000, the last original Mini rolled off the production line, with only minor technical changes during the 41-year production period. The successful subcompact model had thus reached a total production volume of 5,387,862 vehicles.
This example belongs to the last series built and was delivered six months before the end of production. With full leather upholstery, aluminium fittings and fine accessories, the sports version has been upgraded to a very luxurious level. Freshly inspected, serviced and with only 13,000 kilometres on the clock, this as-new example is going into the hands of a new owner.
